The ABI 1.5" Focusing Lens Kit is engineered for ultra-precise laser engraving and marking applications where fine detail matters most, ideal for small fonts, intricate graphics, and photo engraving. Compared to the standard 2.0" lens, this high-resolution lens delivers a beam spot size up to 40% smaller, enabling sharper detail and greater image fidelity.

This lens also increases Z-axis capacity by an additional 0.5" (12.7 mm), allowing for processing of taller materials. It is fully compatible with Universal Laser Systems PLS and VLS platforms, and most legacy models from 1996 onward (excluding PLS6MW, ILS, and XLS systems). Like other ULS-style lenses, it is interchangeable with standard lens kits for added versatility.

Note: Due to the lens's shorter focal length, it sits closer to the work surface, which can increase the risk of lens contamination from debris or smoke. It also has a narrower focal tolerance and is not suited for cutting thicker materials (maximum recommended cutting depth: 0.2" or 5.08 mm). However, its fine beam and thin kerf make it excellent for precision cutting of thin stock.
