- Prepaid UPS return label included. Your replacement includes a prepaid UPS return label. After installing the replacement, pack your old cartridge in the original shipping box and protective packaging. Hand the return package to UPS within 10 days of receiving your replacement.

Common questions
Is this a brand-new cartridge?
No, and that's by design. Each cartridge is refurbished by Universal Laser Systems at their Scottsdale, AZ factory and tested to the same OEM standards as an outright-new cartridge. It ships with the full ULS factory warranty. The exchange model is what makes the lower price possible: your old cartridge goes back to ULS to begin its own refurbishment cycle.
When does the old cartridge need to go back?
Your replacement includes a prepaid UPS return label. After installing the replacement, pack your old cartridge in the original shipping box and protective packaging. Hand the return package to UPS within 10 days of receiving your replacement. The deadline is when you hand the package to UPS, not when it arrives at ULS.
Do I need a service tech to install?
No service tech required. These laser sources are fully field-installable, most models are toolless and can be swapped in under 10 minutes as a plug-and-play process. If you do not see instructions applicable to your laser model here, let us know and we can assist with removal and installation instructions.
What if I miss the 10-day return window?
Email hello@abernethybeck.com immediately so ABI can review your return status and advise on next steps. The deadline is when you hand the return package to UPS, not when it arrives at ULS. Non-return charges may apply if you miss the 10-day deadline. An unresolved return or outstanding non-return charges may make you ineligible for further support until the matter is resolved.
Is this a genuine ULS cartridge?
Yes. Every cartridge is rebuilt and tested by Universal Laser Systems at their Scottsdale, AZ factory and ships directly from ULS with the full ULS factory warranty. ABI has been a ULS authorized dealer for 25+ years.
