The ABI 1.5" focus lens assembly is precision-engineered for direct compatibility with Universal Laser Systems desktop platforms. This is the high-detail specialist — producing a spot size approximately 40% smaller than the standard 2.0" lens, making it the best choice for very high resolution engraving, photo engraving, and etching of extremely small fonts and fine detail work.

What the 1.5" Focal Length Does Best:

The 1.5" (38.1mm) focal length produces a tightly focused, small-diameter beam optimized for maximum engraving detail and resolution. It also provides an additional 1/2" (12.7mm) of Z-axis table height, allowing taller parts to be processed. Thin kerf cutting on light materials up to approximately 0.2" (5.08mm) is achievable, though this lens is purpose-built for engraving quality rather than cutting performance.
