The 4.0" Lens Kit for Universal Laser Systems is the longest focal length available for ULS platforms — engineered for maximum clearance and tolerance when cutting thick materials or engraving inside recessed parts. The 4.0" (101.6 mm) focal length adds 2" (50.8 mm) of clearance over the standard 2.0" lens, making it the right choice for tall fixtures, deep-cavity engraving (inside bowls, boxes, or stepped parts), and consistent straight-edge cutting through stock up to 1" (25.4 mm) or more depending on the material. The lens sits well above the work surface, reducing residue contamination — important in clean-process applications. Larger spot size means engraving detail is lower; not recommended for fine detail work. Reduces Z-axis travel by 2" (50.8 mm). High laser power is typically required for thick cutting.
